Advertising, affiliate and sponsorship disclosure

Last updated:

Truth with Data is free to read. This page explains how it makes money and how we keep that separate from what our analysis finds.

The short version: nobody can pay us to change a finding. Ads are marked as ads, sponsored articles are labelled “Sponsored” at the top, and articles with affiliate links say so before the first link.

Display advertising

We show adverts served by Google AdSense. Google chooses which ads appear; we do not choose individual advertisers and we do not endorse them. Ads appear in clearly separated spaces, never inside a chart or a table of results. See our privacy and cookie policy for how ad cookies work and how to change your choices.

Affiliate links

Some articles and tools link to products or services, such as books, courses, software, savings accounts or mortgage comparison sites. Some of those links are affiliate links: if you buy or sign up after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Sponsored articles

Occasionally a company pays us to write about a topic. Sponsored articles are:

Our own products and services

We sell digital products, such as e-books, courses and templates, and offer data analysis and consultancy. When an article mentions one of our own products or services, it is clear that it is ours.
